Creative Workshops
As a teacher for 13 years, I love teaching others. I also love the thrill of learning something new. I often want to take art classes, but don't have time or money to commit to a full semester of classes. I know there are others like me and decided to offer some workshops for this very reason. Combining my love of art with my love for teaching, has been a dream come true.
Periodically, I will offer fun workshops, but am also available to do them at the location of your choosing. If you would like to contact me about doing a workshop, even if it’s just for a small group of friends wanting to plan a girls' night, I would love to talk with you. I have listed the workshops I am currently offering, but am always open to creating other classes if there is something particular that you are interested in learning. Minimum Class Size:
The class minimum is 5. Most supplies are bought in groups of 5, so it’s difficult to purchase individual items for the same cost. However, if you’d like to have a smaller group, you can just cover the minimum supply cost.
Cancellation policy:
I understand that difficult situations arise and will try to be as flexible as possible. However, due to the fact that most of the supplies have to be ordered beforehand, all supply fees must be covered in the event that you need to cancel.
Adding people to a class:
My motto is, the more the merrier, but I do need at least 10 days notice so that supplies can be ordered. If you want to add someone and there isn’t enough time, we can always share supplies, but I prefer that everyone to have their own, so that they can take them home and continue the fun.
What does my payment include?:
Each class has a cost per class and a supply fee. These fees include set up and clean up, so that you can have a fun stress-free time. I will arrive 30 minutes early to set up, the class will last approximately 1 hour (approximately 2 hours for the dip pen calligraphy class), and I will stay afterwards to make sure everything is clean and tidy. The supply fee is based on the exact cost to purchase the supplies. I do this because I know it's not convenient to have to go to numerous craft stores and try to find all of the items required and because sometimes I can get better deals for you when I purchase sets rather than individual items. *Prices above are subject to change depending on the cost of supplies and the venue.
Class length:
The main portion of the class will be teaching the actual skill and a time for practice. The class can be lengthened if you would like to do a project that goes along with what you’ve just learned (a favorite quote, a verse, a watercolor project, etc…). The fee for adding another hour is just $10 per person.
